Tremont: Building Applications Filed for 9-Story, Residential Building at 2183 Morris Avenue

2183 MORRIS AVENUE in the Tremont section of The Bronx is set to see a new, 9-story, residential building constructed at the site.

Building applications have been filed with the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new, 9-story, residential building located at 2183 Morris Avenue in the Tremont section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.

Located between East 182nd Street and Anthony Baez Place, the lot is two blocks from the 182-183 Streets subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Arben Mitaj of Euro Tech Developers is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed, 84-foot-tall development will yield 37,726 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 60 residential units, most likely rentals, based on the average unit scope of 628 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Badaly Architects is listed as the architect of record. Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is currently vacant. An estimated completion date for the new structure has not yet been announced.
