The film festival, which ran from Sept. 14 to 20 featured drive-in / in-person movie experiences and was held across the street from the Bronx Terminal Market. “I could not think of a better way to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month than welcoming the New York Latino Film Festival to The Bronx,” said Diaz Jr. “I want to thank the organizers of the New York Latino Film Festival for not only debuting these wonderful works of art celebrating our customs, our culture, our raza, this Hispanic Heritage Month in our great borough but also hosting the city’s first Latino drive-in experience to take place both in New York City.”
Launched in 1999, the New York International Latino Film Festival (NYLFF) is now the premiere Urban Latino film event in the country according to its founders.
