A construction worker fell 30 feet from the 4th floor of a construction site in the Wakefield section of The Bronx and has been hospitalized, according to NYC Department of Buildings (DOB). Department officials added that safety violations were identified at the site run by BE Bronx Builders LLC, which is owned by the Stagg Group. The latter, along with Mark Stagg and BE Bronx Builders LLC, was hit with a lawsuit last week by three construction workers burned in a separate Bronx construction accident on May 15 in Williamsbridge.   DOB officials said the latest accident in Wakefield occurred

Wakefield: Search for 32-Year-Old Woman Reported Missing

The New York City Police Department is appealing to the public for help locating a 32-year-old woman reported missing from Wakefield.   Police said that Abigail Arias of 4000 Lowere Place in the Wakefield section of The Bronx, was last seen on Sunday, June 4, at around 10.30 p.m., leaving her home. They said she is described as female, is around 4 feet, 11 inches in height, weighs around 125 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. UNHP Celebrates 40 Years as New Report Ranks Bronxites among Worst Affected by Housing Crisis    

The University Neighborhood Housing Program (UNHP) was created in 1983 by Fordham University to help Bronxites take ownership of community-based redevelopment efforts. UPDATE Olinville: Mothers Day Residential Fire Under Control

All hands were called on Sunday afternoon, May 14, to respond to a fire on the third floor of a multiple dwelling located at 3003 Olinville Avenue in the Olinville section of the borough, just north of Parkside Housing Project.   An FDNY spokesperson told Norwood News that the department received the call at 2.34 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. “Members were able to determine that the fire was located in the multiple dwelling [at 3003 Olinville Avenue],” the spokesperson said. Wakefield: Mothers Day Residential Fire Under Control
