Police have arrested two people following the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old young man and the wounding of a second 19-year-old male youth during an apparent drive-by shooting following a Fourth of July street celebration in Fordham Heights. Police said the accident took place at 9.31 a.m. at Bainbridge Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway South. A 23-year-old motorcycle driver remains in serious condition and his 23-year-old female passenger was in stable condition after an early morning collision at Jerome Avenue and Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood. A 62-year-old man has been hospitalized following a daylight shooting in Fordham Heights on Friday, June 16. An NYPD spokesperson said, “At 16.50 hours, at 2386 Ryer Avenue, a male…he was shot once in the knee.” The address is the location of Ryer Housing Development, and is located between East 187th Street and East 184th, one block from the Grand Concourse, according to Google Maps.
