Edenwald Houses: 28-Year Man Shot, Dies

A 28-year-old man has died following a shooting at Edenwald Houses in the Edenwald section of the Bronx.   Police responded to a 911 call regarding the shooting which occurred in front of 1137 East 229 Drive South in the 47th Precinct/Police Service Area 8 on Friday, Sept. 3, at approximately 8.38 p.m.  Upon arrival, officers observed the 28-year-old with a gunshot wound to his chest.   EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Montefiore Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Three Homicides Reported in Night of Violence across The Bronx

  Bronx homicide detectives are working overtime this weekend after at least five people were shot, three fatally, in less than 24-hours.   According to the NYPD, and as reported, the first incident was reported at 4:09 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, when officers from the 52nd precinct responded to a report of an assault inside 2550 Bainbridge Avenue. Bedford Park: Gunman Sought in Decatur Avenue Shooting

Police are looking for a gunman who fired several shots on Decatur Avenue in Bedford Park, apparently striking the front window of an apartment building.   The NYPD confirmed that officers responded to a 911 call on Saturday, July 24, at approximately 4 a.m. following a complaint regarding shots fired in the rear yard of a two-family home located at 2850 Decatur Avenue, in the 52nd precinct, and carried out an investigation.   No arrests were made following the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
