The New York Blood Center continues to experience a shortage of blood supply and is calling on volunteers to donate blood if they can. UPDATE Wakefield: Arrest Made in Investigation into Fatal Shooting of 19-Year-Old Male

Police have made an arrest in the murder investigation of a 19-year-old male who was shot multiple times in the chest last month in Wakefield.   On Friday, March 25, at approximately 6.48 p.m., police responded to gunshot activity which was picked up by certain gunshot technology at 4389 Matilda Avenue in Wakefield. UPDATE Williamsbridge: 26-Year-Old Man Dies following Shooting

Police have released a photo and video of a person of interest, sought for questioning following the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx.   As reported, on Friday, March 18, at approximately 1.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided person at 3559 Holland Avenue in Williamsbridge. Tremont: Police Release Video of Person of Interest following Fatal Shooting

    The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in the attached surveillance video and photo who is sought for questioning regarding a fatal shooting that occurred in the vicinity of Tremont, located in the 48th precinct, in December 2021.   It was reported to police that on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at approximately 9.08 p.m., the victim, a 31-year-old man, was in front of 2001 Arthur Avenue, when he was approached by an unidentified man and shot in the right side of the chest.   The shooter then fled on foot to parts unknown.

UPDATE Norwood: 17-Year-Old Shot, Taken to Jacobi Hospital

The NYPD confirm a 17-year-old male was shot in Norwood on Tuesday, March 15.   The incident was reported at around 8 p.m. at 3366 Decatur Avenue. The youth was shot in the leg and brought to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition. The Washington Metropolitan Police announced on Twitter on Tuesday morning that they have arrested a suspect sought for the shooting of various homeless people in New York City and Washington D.C. The NYPD said a 22-year-old man was shot in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx and the department released photos of a person of interest sought in connection with the case.
