City and State Officials Celebrate Opening of St. James Terrace

State, City and local officials, including those from New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the newly constructed St. James Terrace, a mixed-income, affordable, and supportive housing development located at 2520 Jerome Avenue in Fordham Manor on Oct. 29.

The NYPD is requesting the public’s help identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photo, who they say is wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx. 

Fordham Manor: Man Charged for Bringing Loaded Machine Gun into Subway Released on Bail

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Tuesday, Dec. 10, that the Bronx man who was arrested for bringing a loaded machine gun into Kingsbridge Road subway station on Election Day, Nov. 5, has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and additional charges. As reported, the man was caught by police with an assault-style rifle and a large-capacity magazine in his backpack inside the station.

District 15 City Councilmember Oswald Feliz hosted his Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway on Monday, Nov. 25, where hundreds of local community members lined up to receive free turkeys and fresh produce at Rose Hill Park at the intersection of Webster Avenue and East Fordham Road in Fordham Manor.

Workers atop two cherry pickers were busy preparing a large Holiday Tree at Lou Gehrig Plaza in front of Bronx Borough Hall on 161st Street in the Concourse section of The Bronx on Wednesday, Nov. 4, in preparation for the Bronx Borough President’s Annual “Winter Wonderland” celebration which took place the following day on Thursday, Dec. 5.
