Van Cortlandt Park: One Person Transported to Montefiore Hospital following Collision

Hundreds Enjoy the Fun-Filled Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Williamsbridge Oval

For the first time since 2019, before a once-in-a-century pandemic put a stop to most large gatherings, several hundred children and their parents gathered at the Williamsbridge Oval in Norwood for the Parks department’s 5th Annual Spring Easter Egg Hunt.   Held opposite the Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center, located at 3225 Reservoir Oval East, on Saturday, April 16, youngsters enjoyed an egg hunt as well as games, arts and crafts and face-painting.   A dozen or more businesses and organizations were on hand on the day, passing out free information. UPDATE Parents Arrested following Death of 8-Year-Old Boy

The parents of an 8-year-old boy from Williamsbridge who died last June have been arrested on murder charges.   Police responded to a call from Montefiore North Hospital emergency room regarding the child, who had been brought to the facility by his mother from his Williamsbridge home, on Tuesday, June 1, at around 2.10 p.m.   The child was unconscious and unresponsive, with no obvious signs of trauma observed. Norwood: Four Sought in Multiple Stabbing Incident Involving Three Victims

UPDATE Wakefield: 19-Year-Old Arrested following Fatal Stabbing at 241st Street Station

  Police confirmed on Friday, Dec. 17, that a man has been arrested following a murder in at 241st subway station in Wakefield.   On Monday, Dec. 13, at approximately 00.41 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been stabbed at 241st Street and White Plains Road station, located in the 47th precinct / Transit District 12.   Upon arrival at the mezzanine to the 2 train, police observed an unidentified man with a stab wound to the torso. Montefiore Appoints Dr. Sangita Jindal to Oversee Assisted Fertility Treatments
