Bronx Symphony Orchestra’s 2023-2024 50th Season Opens Oct. 22 at Lehman College
The Orchestra of the Bronx, founded and conducted by Michael Spierman, returns on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 3 p.m. for a free concert at Lehman College’s Lovinger Theatre, performing Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (the Eroica). Spierman leads a 40-member orchestra of musicians drawn from other major orchestras and Broadway shows.

About five hundred applicants showed up for another “Hiring Hall” job fair in The Bronx on Wednesday, June 21, this time at Lehman College in Bedford Park. Hosted, once again, by the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), the event is part of a series of city government job fairs being held citywide in recent months.
Bedford Park: Search for One after Attempted Robbery in Transit
The NYPD is asking the public for help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who department officials say is sought in connection with an attempted robbery that occurred in transit on a northbound 4 train. Police said that on Thursday, June 22, at around 6.15 a.m., a 27-year-old male victim was on a moving northbound 4 train when he was approached by another passenger who snatched his cellphone. They said that as the train entered the Bedford Park Boulevard – Lehman College subway station, both the victim and the phone snatcher exited the train. They said
