Fordham Heights: Residential Fire Causes No Injuries

No injuries were reported following a fire in Fordham Heights on Friday, May 19, the FDNY said.   A spokesperson for the fire department said they received a call at 10.48 p.m. on Friday for reports of smoke/a fire at 2357 Walton Avenue. The spokesperson said the fire broke out on the first floor of 5-story, multiple dwelling and was brought under control at 11:19 p.m. There were no injuries according to the FDNY. Asked if the cause of the blaze was established, the FDNY spokesperson said the cause was not yet known.

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Fire department officials said one elderly female resident was hospitalized following an “all hands” fire at 2364 Tiebout Avenue in Fordham Heights on Tuesday, March 28.
