There were no injuries reported after a BxM1 bus crashed into a high wall by 2601 Henry Hudson Parkway and Kappock Street / Independence Avenue in the Spuyten Duyvll section of The Bronx on Friday morning, Jan. 17, according to City officials. The FDNY said they received a call at 8.40 a.m. for a report of a bus hanging from an overpass. They said there were no reported injuries but emergency units are continuing to operate at the scene. An apparent burst to a water mains pipe caused major flooding and havoc to both residents and local businesses in the vicinity of Webster Avenue, East 201st Street, Mosholu Parkway South, and Bedford Park Boulevard in Norwood / Bedford Park on Monday night, Dec. 16, according to eyewitness accounts. Several cars in the area were seen semi-submerged in water amid the flooding.
