Another Man Found Dead in Van Cortlandt Park

An unidentified man was found unresponsive inside Van Cortlandt Park on Sunday, with one police officer at the scene describing the death as “suspicious,” while a police spokesman later said the body showed no obvious signs of trauma.

Five people incurred minor injuries, according to FDNY officials, after a major emergency services response to a gas rupture was witnessed by residents at 379 Bedford Park Boulevard between Decatur Avenue and Webster Avenue in Bedford Park on Sunday, Sept. 22. Some gas outages are ongoing as a result and Con Ed said they were and will continue to be working to restore service to the affected residents and businesses throughout Sunday, overnight on Sunday, and into Monday.

Norwood: Neighbors React to Non-Fatal Shooting on East 207th & Bainbridge

Neighbors are sharing their reaction to a nonfatal shooting that occurred of a man in the back on East 207th Street in Norwood on Tuesday, Sept. 10. As reported, the NYPD released photos of the two men sought in connection with the incident and are appealing to the public for help identifying them.
