Seniors, the Victims of Hit & Run Incidents in the Bronx in December

  At least two elderly women pushing shopping carts or strollers were injured in two separate hit and run incidents in the Bronx in December. A third female senior said she, too, was the victim of a hit and run incident, and that it was allegedly an FDNY EMS ambulance that left her lying on the ground in pain.   In the latest incident, cops are still looking for a driver who knocked an unidentified, 92-year-old woman to the ground at 1.08 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the corner of East Tremont Avenue and Daily Avenue in the West

Update: Man Arrested on Murder Charges in University Heights Shooting in December

Police have arrested a man on murder charges in connection with a shooting that occurred in University Heights on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020.   On the date in question, at 8.50 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an assault in progress in the vicinity of West 184th Street and Aqueduct Avenue in the University Heights section of the Bronx, in the 52nd precinct.   Upon arrival, officers discovered a 26-year-old man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his chest and neck. EMS responded and transported the man to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Short Film Shot in Woodlawn Cemetery with Local Talent available to View for Free through Jan. 12

  “Brooklyn Burial” is a new short film, shot in Woodlawn Cemetery, which co-stars and is written and directed by Christine Sloan Stoddard, who plays opposite Disnie Sebastien.  The film follows two friends, Cammy and Victrice, during an exchange which takes place in a cemetery after Cammy’s broken engagement. Fordham Heights: Man Dies from Fatal Shot to Back of Head

  On Saturday Dec. 26, 2020, at approximately 9.26 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who was shot behind 365 East 183rd Street in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx, in the 46th precinct.   Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. Body of Man Discovered in Wooded Section of Mosholu Golf Course

On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at approximately 10.40 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious, aided person in a wooded area of the Mosholu golf course, in the vicinity of East 233rd Street and Jerome Avenue in the 50th precinct.   Upon arrival, police discovered the remains of an unidentified man, lying on the ground at the location. EMS responded and pronounced the individual deceased at the scene. The identity of the deceased is pending family notification. The medical examiner is to determine the cause of death.   The investigation is ongoing.  

Van Cortlandt Village: Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Stabbing Incident of Mother with Baby

On Aug. 25, at 8.46 a.m., pursuant to an ongoing investigation into a non-fatal stabbing incident which took place in the 50th precinct, in the Van Cortlandt Village section of the Bronx in mid-July, Carlos Gonzalez has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.   On July 14, 2020 at approximately 7.11 p.m., in front of 3343 Sedgwick Avenue in Van Cortlandt Village, a 21-year-old female victim was walking with her ex-boyfriend, Carlos Gonzalez, 25, of Manhattan, while pushing their infant son in a baby stroller.   A verbal argument ensued at which time Gonzalez allegedly placed the woman in

Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle, Gun Hill Road Collision

  An unidentified woman was injured when her blue Honda Civic collided with a taxi cab in the Norwood section of the Bronx on Sunday.   Fire officials and police were called to the crash, reported at 8:56 a.m. on August 16, at the intersection of East Gun Hill Road and Dekalb Avenue in Norwood.   The FDNY reported that the victim was transported by EMS to North Central Bronx Hospital.
