Police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at 2143 Cruger Avenue in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx in the 49th precinct, on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at approximately 3.07 p.m. Upon arrival, police observed a 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his chest, unconscious and unresponsive. EMS also responded and transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing. The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in the attached photo regarding an assault that occurred in the 52nd precinct. Norwood News received unofficial reports of an overturned vehicle at Bedford Park Boulevard and Villa Avenue in the Bedford Park neighborhood of the Bronx. Police are investigating a homicide, following receipt of a 911 call regarding an assault in progress at 3014 Wallace Avenue in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx, located in the 47th precinct. The call came in on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at approximately 12.30 in the afternoon. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the chest.
