UPDATE: Slashing at Bronx Collaborative High School Leaves One Student Hospitalized

  A student from Bronx Collaborative High School was hospitalized following a slashing incident which took place at the school on Wednesday. Sept. 15, after a dispute broke out between two students. Police later confirmed on Tuesday, Sept. 21, that a 15-year-old male was arrested on Sept. 20 in relation to the incident and has been charged with assault.   In response to an inquiry sent to the NYPD on Sunday, Sept. 19, police confirmed that at approximately 1 p.m. on Sept. 15, police responded to a 911 call regarding an assault inside 100 West Mosholu Parkway South in Jerome

Claremont Park Shooting: One Dead, Three Injured, including an 11-Year-Old Boy

UPDATE Laconia: 26-Year-Old Man Dies following Residential Shooting

A 26-year-old man is dead following a shooting in the Laconia section of the Bronx.   On Saturday, Sept. 18, at approximately 10.35 p.m., police responded to a call regarding an assault which occurred inside 3400 Wickham Avenue, located in the 47th precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old man lying unconscious and unresponsive in the hallway with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.   EMS responded and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.  The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.

41-Year-Old Man Dies in Norwood Residential Building

  The NYPD recently confirmed a 41-year-old man died in a Norwood apartment.   According to police spokeswoman, Detective Annette Shelton, officers from the 52nd precinct were called to 333 East 209th Street at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 21.   Shelton said of the incident, “Upon arrival, a 41-year-old male was discovered unconscious, lying in the hallway of the location.” She added, “EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased.”   The deceased man’s name was not immediately released as it was pending proper family notification. Three Homicides Reported in Night of Violence across The Bronx
