A 24-year-old woman has died following an assault in the Tremont section of The Bronx, and a 27-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.   On Thursday, Feb. 24, at approximately 7 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding the assault, which took place inside an Arthur Avenue residential building in the Tremont neighborhood. UPDATE City Issues Travel Advisory Amid Icy Conditions through Friday, Feb. 25

New York City Emergency Management (EMS) issued a travel advisory on Thursday, Feb. 24, which is in effect through Friday, Feb. 25. The National Weather Service had issued a winter weather advisory for New York City the same day which is also in effect until 1 p.m. on Friday.   According to Thursday’s forecast, snow was due to fall on Thursday night and change to a mix of sleet, rain, and possible freezing rain early Friday morning. Police Make Arrest in Tremont Fatal Shooting of Norwood Man

Fordham Manor: 23-Year-Old Man Shot Twice

The NYPD said a 23-year-old man was shot twice in Fordham Manor on Thursday, Feb. 10.   Sergeant Edward Riley, NYPD spokesperson, said officers responded to the incident which occurred in front of 2556 Davidson Avenue at 8 p.m. on Thursday. A 23-year-old male victim told police he was walking [along the street] when he heard gunfire. He then sustained two gunshots, one to his left leg and one to his left arm.   The victim said the unidentified suspect fled the area in a vehicle in an unknown direction. Norwood: Man Arrested following Daylight Assault in Williamsbridge Oval Park

A man was arrested in Williamsbridge Oval park in Norwood on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 10, following an assault.   The NYPD confirmed that officers responded to an incident at around 2.55 p.m. on Thursday and a 61-year-old man was later arrested and charged with assault and harassment.
