UPDATE Williamsbridge: 26-Year-Old Man Dies following Shooting

Police have released a photo and video of a person of interest, sought for questioning following the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx.   As reported, on Friday, March 18, at approximately 1.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided person at 3559 Holland Avenue in Williamsbridge. Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso.   EMS responded and transported the man to Jacobi Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Tremont: Police Release Video of Person of Interest following Fatal Shooting

    The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in the attached surveillance video and photo who is sought for questioning regarding a fatal shooting that occurred in the vicinity of Tremont, located in the 48th precinct, in December 2021.   It was reported to police that on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at approximately 9.08 p.m., the victim, a 31-year-old man, was in front of 2001 Arthur Avenue, when he was approached by an unidentified man and shot in the right side of the chest.   The shooter then fled on foot to parts unknown.

UPDATE Norwood: 17-Year-Old Shot, Taken to Jacobi Hospital

The NYPD confirm a 17-year-old male was shot in Norwood on Tuesday, March 15.   The incident was reported at around 8 p.m. at 3366 Decatur Avenue. The youth was shot in the leg and brought to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.   A female resident of the building who declined to be identified said of the incident on Tuesday night, “Someone was shot in front of my building about a half hour ago, after several shots were fired. Wakefield: Man Dies following Night Scooter Collision

Police have confirmed a 63-year-old man has died following a road collision in the Wakefield section of The Bronx.   Police said officers responded to a 911 call on Monday March 14, at approximately 10.06 p.m. regarding a motor vehicle collision, which involved a gas-powered scooter, in the vicinity of East 241st Street and Richardson Avenue, in Wakefield.   Upon arrival, the responding officers encountered an unconscious 63-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, lying on the roadway with trauma to the head. EMS responded to the location and transported the aided man to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

City Issues ‘Winter Operations Advisory’ for Wednesday, March 9, from 6 a.m.

The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has issued a winter operations advisory for Wednesday, March 9, beginning at 6 a.m., in advance of expected snowfall. A winter operations advisory is the department’s lower level winter weather message, as opposed to the higher level “snow alert.”   Following warm temperatures earlier in the week, snow is expected to fall throughout the day Wednesday. Accumulation on pavement is not likely, but a coating to two inches may accumulate on unpaved surfaces. Baychester Vicinity: Gunman Shoots 27-Year-Old Man During Attempted Robbery

  Police confirm a man and woman were killed, and two other passengers were injured following a 3-vehicle collision that took place on the Cross Bronx Expressway on Friday, and shut down the busy roadway for nearly five hours.
