Belmont: 23-Year-Old Man Arrested following Shooting of Two Cops on Thanksgiving Eve

  Police confirmed on Saturday, Nov. 27, that pursuant to an ongoing investigation, a 23-year-old individual was arrested and charged the same day at 1 a.m. in the 48th precinct for the shooting of two police officers in the Belmont section of the Bronx on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, Nov. 24.   Charlie Vasquez, 23, of Clay Street in Brooklyn, was charged with  two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault, two counts of criminal use of a firearm, two counts of criminal possession of a loaded firearm, two counts of reckless endangerment and two counts of menacing.   Mayor
