UPDATE Norwood: Feds Seize Cocaine and $3 Million Cash from Bronx Gates Place Home, Formerly Deported Man Arrested

An investigation into a major narcotics distributor resulted in the seizure of approximately 12 kilograms (more than 26 pounds) of cocaine and over $3 million cash from an apartment in the Norwood neighborhood of the Bronx and the arrest of one 60-year-old man on March 19, federal prosecutors announed on Friday, March 22. They said narcotics and money were concealed inside several pieces of furniture outfitted with hidden trap compartments.

Norwood: 20 Alleged G-Side/Drilly Gang Members Charged with Murder, Non-Fatal Shootings, Stabbings

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark and New York City Police Commissioner Keechant L. Sewell announced on Thursday, April 7, that 20 people, including four adolescent offenders, have been charged with various offenses related to murder, non-fatal shootings, and stabbings mainly in the areas of East Gun Hill Road, Hull Avenue and Decatur Avenue in Norwood and the surrounding areas.   According to the investigation, the defendants, alleged members of the G-Side/Drilly gang, a subset of the Bloods Sex Money Murder gang, allegedly carried out a total of 32 acts of violence that spanned a three-year period, between Sept. 20,
