Police confirm a 27-year-old man has been shot by police following a pursuit on Thursday, Jan. 20 in Wakefield. UPDATE Wakefield: 19-Year-Old Arrested following Fatal Stabbing at 241st Street Station

  Police confirmed on Friday, Dec. 17, that a man has been arrested following a murder in at 241st subway station in Wakefield.   On Monday, Dec. 13, at approximately 00.41 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been stabbed at 241st Street and White Plains Road station, located in the 47th precinct / Transit District 12.   Upon arrival at the mezzanine to the 2 train, police observed an unidentified man with a stab wound to the torso. EMS also responded and transported the victim to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
