UPDATE Wakefield: Arrest Made in Investigation into Fatal Shooting of 19-Year-Old Male

Police have made an arrest in the murder investigation of a 19-year-old male who was shot multiple times in the chest last month in Wakefield.   On Friday, March 25, at approximately 6.48 p.m., police responded to gunshot activity which was picked up by certain gunshot technology at 4389 Matilda Avenue in Wakefield. Upon arrival, officers observed a 19-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso in front of 638 Nereid Avenue, also in the Wakefield section of the borough.   EMS responded and transported the aided man to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests

UPDATE CCRB Finds 12 Bronx Police Officers Guilty of Misconduct during BLM Protests Thus Far 

  The Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) released an updated “protest data snapshot” on Thursday, March 24, updating the public on the status of the 319 complaints filed to date and stemming from the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. UPDATE Williamsbridge: 26-Year-Old Man Dies following Shooting

Police have released a photo and video of a person of interest, sought for questioning following the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx.   As reported, on Friday, March 18, at approximately 1.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided person at 3559 Holland Avenue in Williamsbridge. Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso.   EMS responded and transported the man to Jacobi Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Baychester Vicinity: Gunman Shoots 27-Year-Old Man During Attempted Robbery

    The NYPD is asking the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached surveillance video and photos who is sought in connection to an attempted gunpoint robbery that occurred just north of the Baychester neighborhood.   It was reported to police on Sunday, March 6, inside 3431 Baychester Avenue (Bodega), at approximately 10.53 a.m., an unknown man entered the location, pulled out a gun and approached a 27-year-old male victim. UPDATE Wakefield: 37-Year-Old Man Arrested After Harassing Female Passenger with Human Feces

  A 37-year-old man has been arrested following an assault on a woman at East 241st Street subway station in Wakefield, police said.   It was reported to police that on Monday, Feb. 21, at approximately 5.15 p.m., on the southbound platform of the East 241st Street subway station, an unidentified man approached a 43-year-old woman who was sitting on a platform bench, and struck her in the face and in the back of the head with human feces.     He then fled the location in an unknown direction. Bronx D.A.: Bronx Man Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison for Fatal Stabbing of Mother’s Roommate

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Monday, Jan. 31, that a Bronx man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter for fatally stabbing his mother’s roommate in their Williamsbridge apartment in 2019.   In the context of the announcement, Clark said, “The defendant stabbed the 60-year-old victim approximately seven times, causing his death.
