Survivor Highlights Complexity of DV at 6th Annual 5K

The Office of Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark, together with the Office of Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and the New York Yankees hosted the 6th Annual Run/Walk/Roll to End Domestic Violence on Saturday, Oct. 7. The event kicked off at the steps of Bronx Borough Hall at 161st Street and the Grand Concourse in the Concourse section of the borough at 9.30 a.m. under heavy rain.

Gibson Launches “31 Days of Action Against DV” Awareness Campaign as North Bronx Sees Highest DV Rates

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson launched Domestic Violence Awareness Month at Bronx Borough Hall on Monday, Oct. 2. She was joined by elected officials, advocates, survivors, the DiVA (domestic violence awareness) coalition, and her domestic violence advisory council for the occasion. Gibson declared domestic violence a public health crisis in the borough and unveiled her “31 Days of Action Against DV” public awareness campaign.

Fordham Manor: Man Robbed while Sleeping Aboard D Train

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the person seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection with a robbery that occurred in transit aboard the D train in Fordham Manor.
