The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Haley Moreno, 15, of 2755 Dewey Avenue in the Bronx, who was reported missing on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, in the 45th precinct in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx. Haley was last seen on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at approximately 1:26 p.m. at her home. Shopping Strip Closed after Security Alert outside Pelham Bay Funeral Parlor
Business is back to normal along a busy shopping strip in Pelham Bay, after a man reportedly left a pressure cooker outside of a funeral parlor. According to residents and workers in the area, members of the NYPD’s 45th precinct, Emergency Services Unit and the Bomb Squad were joined at the location by members of the F.B.I., who arrived on the scene around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Transgender Woman’s Death Ruled Accidental Drowning at Orchard Beach
The death of a transgender woman at Orchard Beach in July has been ruled an accidental drowning after an autopsy report was released last month. Police officials reported that at 6:09 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, officers from the 45th precinct in the Bronx discovered “an unconscious and unresponsive 23-year-old female in the sand” at the water’s edge at Orchard Beach. EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim was later identified as a transgender woman who used the pronouns they/them/theirs. Motorcycle Driver Critical after being Struck by Con Edison Truck in Westchester Square
A motorcyclist is fighting for his life after colliding with a Consolidated Edison truck in Westchester Square. According to NYPD Sergeant and police spokeswoman, Jessica McRorie, the accident was reported at 2 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Silver Street and East Tremont Avenue in the Westchester Square section of the Bronx. Upon the arrival of officers from the 45th precinct, McRorie said, “Officers discovered a 25-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive, lying in the roadway with severe body trauma.” McRorie continued, “EMS responded to the location and transported the aided to New York Health and Hospital’s Jacobi Hospital, where he
