School Safety Agent Arrested for Assault

Police confirm that an off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 45th precinct, which covers Co-op City and City Island.   On Thursday, Nov. 18, at 10.17 p.m., Kayla Cox, 38, an NYPD school safety agent, was charged with assault.   A person who is charged with a crime is innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.    

Bronx Pastor Who Ran Over & Attacked Ex-Wife with Machete Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Nov. 18 that a Yonkers man has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for running over his estranged wife with a vehicle and stabbing her with a machete in front her two grandchildren in 2019. In the context of the announcement, Clark said, “The defendant and the victim, his wife, had been estranged for approximately a month when he mercilessly killed her in front of her two young grandchildren and bystanders in broad daylight. Update: Police Respond to Security Incident in Throg’s Neck Outside 45th Precinct

Update: 83-Year-Old Man Dies at Co-op City Care Center, 87-Year-Old Man Arrested

  Police have arrested an 87-year-old man following an incident at a care center in Co-op City during which an 83-year-old man died.   On Friday, May 21, at approximately 7.16 p.m., police responded to a call regarding an aided person inside one of the rooms at Pinnacle Multi-Care Center, located at 801 Co-op City Boulevard in Co-op City, in the 45th precinct.   Upon arrival, officers observed an 83-year-old man lying on the floor, inside the location. Off Duty NYPD School Safety Agent Arrested for Assault, Endangering a Child

On Monday, May 3, 2021 at 8.39 p.m, Valerie Collins, 55, an off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 45th precinct with assault and with endangering the welfare of a child. Collins is an NYPD school safety agent. No information was available for Collins on the NYPD’s public records site.   The 45th precinct contains six miles of park area, and 10.6 miles of waterfront. It covers the Bronx neighborhoods of Co-op City and City Island.   A person arrested and accused of a crime is innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.

Update: Bronx Man Indicted for Carrying Out Multiple Unprovoked Slashings in the Bronx

Senior Citizen Critical after being Struck by a Vehicle Crossing the Hutch

A senior citizen remains in critical condition after trying to cross a busy highway on the Indian Village / Pelham Bay border.
