Bronx Man Gets 16 Years for Stabbing Six Men in Unprovoked Attacks

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Wednesday, July 27, that a Bronx man was sentenced to 16 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision for slashing and assaulting six men over two days in August 2020.   In the context of the announcement, Clark said, “The defendant brutally attacked six men within two days in unprovoked, senseless acts.  Two of the victims were 65 and 75 years old. Biaggi Introduces Legislation to Target the Sale and Distribution of Semi-Automatic Rifles

Off-Duty NYPD Sergeant Arrested for Assault in The Bronx

An off-duty, NYPD sergeant has been arrested in the Bronx’s 45th precinct. On Tuesday, June 28, at 6.58 a.m., Gregory Smith, 42, was charged with strangulation, assault, and harassment.   Smith is assigned to the 41st precinct in The Bronx which serves Hunts Point and Longwood. In First for NYC, Familial DNA Technology Solves 1999 Cold Murder Case of 13-Year-Old Bronx Girl
