Suspects Sought in Bainbridge Ave. Shooting

The unnamed victim, a Hispanic male, was shot once in the upper leg during a dispute with two other young men at the corner of Bainbridge Avenue and East 212th Street, in the early morning hours of Dec. 26. The injured boy was removed to Montefiore Hospital and remains in stable condition, according to a spokesman for the NYPD.

Police released video surveillance stills of the two suspects, who they say fled the scene after the shooting. Both are described as black, thinly built males between the ages of 16 and 18. One suspect was wearing a blue “varsity” jacket with beige sleeves, while the other wore a black puffy coat and was carrying a firearm.
There have been no leads to the suspects’ identities or whereabouts, according to police.

    I think it’s unfortunate that we are still seeing shootings in our community. I don’t understand why unscrupulous individuals feel that guns solve all disputes.
