A suspect (photo left) is wanted robbing a teen of his wallet, cell phone and forcing him to buy a shake at a store in Bedford Park on Oct. 10.

The suspect, caught on video, approached the 19-year-old victim claiming to carry a knife as he put his hand in his pocket. The suspect then led the victim to a dark alleyway and to a bodega on East 194th Street and Marion Avenue around 6:30 a.m.

The teen was then forced to use his EBT card to purchase a shake for the purported thief. He then made off with wallet, making additional purchases with the card the following day.

The incident adds on to the increase of cellphone-related robberies in the area, similar to two robberies that occurred on Sept 23 and Sept 26, reported by the Norwood News.

The suspect, captured on video, was last seen sporting blue jeans, a blue baseball hat, black sneakers and a multi-colored jacket, the police say.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
