On the next two Sundays in Norwood, the street will be blocked off on East 204th Street, between Bainbridge and Decatur avenues, for a city-sanctioned block party, complete with outdoor shopping, street games, face painting, food and live performances. It’s part of the Department of Transportation’s Summer Streets program, presented by the East 204th Street and Bainbridge Avenue Merchants Association. Next Sunday, Aug. 5, the street festival will include live performances by several Bronx musicians. See the full lineup below:

It’s a good thing for the Bronx. We are on our way to a great Bronx. I’ve been living in the Bronx since June, 1951 and was raised and went to school in the Bronx. So for me it’s the best place to live and raise kids. It’s not where we want it to be but it’s not where it used to be. And we’ll get better I know it. And the jewel of the Bronx is Yankee Stadium, the world’s greatest franchise and team. Go Yankees.
