Solid Gold Religious Vessel Stolen from Saint Barnabas Roman Catholic Church

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in the photo attached further below who is sought for questioning in connection to a burglary that occurred in the 47th precinct, just north of Woodlawn.

 

On Friday, June 25, at approximately 7 a.m., the person entered Saint Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, located at 409 East 241st Street, just north of Woodlawn Heights. After remaining inside the church for about one hour, the person entered the lower level of the church and removed a religious vessel called a Monstrance which is made of solid gold.
