Three suspects are on the loose for a series of robberies around Bedford Park and Norwood over the last month.
The suspects have struck four times–two in Bedford Park, the other in Norwood, and another in Manhattan. Police say the first incident happened Aug. 7 when the suspects attacked a deliveryman who was bringing an order to 2770 Briggs Ave. Police say the thieves slashed him in the mouth, and stole his wallet containing $200 in cash along with the food.
The second incident happened four days later when the suspects repeated their modus operandi–calling in a delivery to rob the deliveryman. This time it happened at 275 E. Gun Hill Rd. The deliveryman entered the location and was approached from behind by two men, according to police. One of the suspect flashed a knife and demanded money. The victim gave his cell phone and $100 in cash.
The third incident happened a day later, when the thieves once again ordered food for delivery, only this time the food was delivered to 2546 Grand Ave. The deliveryman came to the location around 10:20 p.m., was approached from behind and punched repeatedly by the suspects, according to police. A cell phone and $80 in cash was taken from the victim.
The last incident matching the method happened on Aug. 17 at 561 W. 189th St. at around midnight. The three suspects dragged the deliveryman inside the building, attacked him, and took his cell phone, $20 in cash and food.
The three suspects are described as a dark-skinned male, between 16 to 19 years old. The first perp was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black shirt around his neck, light colored pants and black sneakers, the second was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a white shirt wrapped around his head, a white tank top, gray sweatpants and black sneakers, and the third suspect last seen wearing a black baseball shirt, black sweatpants and black and white sneakers.
