The NYPD, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) raided a family home at 2337 Beaumont Avenue in the Belmont section of The Bronx on Thursday, Oct. 5, and four people were taken into custody. The raid was carried out steps away from the back of a fenced off area where children played at Belmont Community Day Care Center, located at 2340 Cambreleng Avenue.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Thursday, Oct. 5, that the operator of Divino Niño Daycare Center in Kingsbridge Heights where one-year-old Nicholas Dominici was fatally poisoned, her husband and his cousin, were charged with murder "under circumstances evincing a depraved indifference to human life, assault, and other charges for allegedly exposing Nicholas and three other surivivng babies to fentanyl which was stored in the daycare. As reported, they also face additional federal charges.
The New York Lottery announced Saturday, Sept. 30, one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the Sept. 29 TAKE 5 midday drawing. Lottery officials said the ticket, worth $18,865. was sold at SHS News Inc., located at 3056 Buhre Avenue in the Pelham Bay section of The Bronx.
