An unidentified mother was arrested on the first day of summer in the University Heights section of The Bronx after she allegedly left her two kids in a double-parked vehicle that was turned off as the temperature hovered around 90 degrees, outside the vehicle.
The driver of a car has been taken into custody following a collision with an MTA bus in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Monday, June 17.
The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection with a groping incident aboard a moving MTA bus in the confines of the 52nd Precinct which covers some or all of Bedford Park, Fordham, Kingsbridge, Norwood, Bronx Park, and University Heights.
Local political organization, The Unity Democratic Club, is calling out the "Dinowitz Democratic Team,” a slate of candidates the club alleges were recruited and funded by local Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz (A.D. 81), for allegedly violating a long-standing congressional ban on [political] campaign activity by nonprofits, a law administered by the IRS. Early voting begins on Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Federal prosecutors and the Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Monday, June 10, that two Bronx men have now pled guilty to various narcotics-related charges which resulted in the death of then one-year-old Nicholas Dominici and injury to three other infants due to fentanyl poisoning at El Divino Niño Daycare Center on Morris Avenue, now closed, in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx in September 2023.
The NYPD said a 14-year-old girl from Fordham Manor who had been reported missing has since been located.

The NYPD said cops have arrested a 29-year-old man from University Heights on animal cruelty charges relating to an attack on a cat by a pitbull. A now widely circulated video obtained by cat rescue group, Little Wanderers NYC, recently reported by Norwood News, showed a pitbull attacking a cat though the incident location was not confirmed.
As The Bronx continues to rank last out of 62 New York State counties in terms of overall good health, those who choose to never stop fighting to change this ranking showed up once again for the 46th Annual “Run the Bronx” event hosted by Bronx Community College on Saturday, May 4.
