NYC Parks joined forces with various community partners and elected officials to host the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Williamsbridge Oval park in Norwood on Saturday, March 30.

Bronx muralist and artist Laura Alvarez who, as reported, recently launched an online fundraiser to repaint the beloved "Norwood" mural, located on East 207th Street and Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood, is stepping up her fundraising efforts, making an in-person appeal to residents at the latest Bronx Community Board 7 general board meeting. The appeal has prompted renewed discussions around funding and on other local art projects.

A few short weeks before the Bronx Conservative Party was set to take control in the Bronx's City Council District 13 on Jan. 1, 2024, thanks to an upset by then-Republican/Conservative City Councilwoman-elect Kristy Marmorato over incumbent Democrat, Marjorie Velázquez, members of the Conservative Party held their annual Christmas celebration for supporters in Morris Park, as well as a subsequent holiday toy giveaway in the Throggs Neck section.
