Bronx Notes: Water-on-the-Go App

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Department of Health launched the 2012 Water-on-the-Go season, an initiative that will make NYC water at portable drinking fountains, which would be an alternative to bottled water and sugar-sweetened beverages, easily available at more than 20 alternating outdoor locations throughout the five boroughs this summer. The DEP has also developed a free iPhone/iPad mobile app available for download at the iTunes store, to help New Yorkers access the daily Water-on-the-Go schedule.
