Bronx Notes: Discussing ‘The Future of Police Relations and the Community’ at Monroe College

The Monroe College King Graduate School for Urban Studies and Applied Research presents "Crimes And The Numbers Game." Eli Silverman, a emeritus professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the graduate center of CUNY, will be discussing the future of police relations and the community. The general public is welcomed to come and learn, participate in the discussion and debate. This discussion will take place Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m., at Monroe College King Hall, Gym 2501 Jerome Ave.

Bronx Notes: African and Muslim Community Enrichment Day

Bronx Council Member Helen Diane Foster and the 16th District African and Muslim Council host the 3rd annual Community Enrichment Day this Thursday, Oct. 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This event will take place at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Lower Gallery, located at 1040 Grand Concourse (at 165th Street). The purpose of the event is to depict and focus on the advancements and growth of the African and Muslim community occurring in the Bronx, and their contributions to the community. New York City Council Citations of Merits will be awarded to “Rising Stars” and “Longevity in Leadership.”
