Schedule Announced for Bronx BP & City Council Candidates’ Debates on BronxNet TV

BronxNet, in partnership with the League of Women Voters, City Limits, Norwood News, Dominicanos USA, Bronx Times and The Riverdale Press is presenting a debate between the candidates for Bronx borough president, as well as another series of debates between the candidates in the 11th, 12th 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th,  New York City Council district races, during special episodes of the BronxTalk show, moderated by host, Gary Axelbank.

 

Candidates will answer questions on a wide range of topics including education, social justice, jobs, the pandemic and more. All debates will be broadcast on BronxNet CH 67 Optimum / 2133 Fios, plus on bronxnet.tv, with premiere episodes scheduled as follows:

 

The premiere broadcast of the borough president candidates’ debate will take place on Monday, June 14 at 9 p.m. Premiere broadcasts of each debate for the New York City Council seats in the Bronx will take place as follows:

  • CD 11 on Monday, June  7, at 9 p.m.,
  • CD 12 on Tuesday, June 8, at 9 p.m.,
  • CD 13 on Wednesday, June 9, at 9 p.m.,
  • CD 14 on Thursday, June 10, at 9 p.m.,
  • CD 15 on Friday, June 11, at 9 p.m.,
  • CD 16 on Tuesday, June 15, at 9 p.m.,
  • CD 17 on Wednesday, June 16, at 9 p.m.,
  • CD 18 on Thursday, June 17, at 9 p.m.

The debates, along with other planned voter information programs on BronxNet and its partners, will prepare Bronxites for the upcoming June 22 New York City primary elections.
