Robbery on 4 Line at 183rd Street Subway Station

 

The NYPD is seeking the public s help identifying the individual seen in the attached video and photo who is sought for questioning in connection to a robbery that occurred on the 4 subway line, in the 52nd precinct / Transit District 11.

 

On Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at approximately 2.20 p.m., inside the 183rd Street subway station, located on the border of Fordham Heights and University Heights, a 22-year-old male victim was riding aboard a southbound 4 train when an unknown male individual forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone from his hands as the train door opened.

 

 

The suspect fled on foot with the victim’s phone in an unknown direction. The victim was not reported injured. The cell phone had an estimated value of approximately $1,000.

 

 

The attached video and photo of the suspect was taken from the incident location, during the incident.
