The NYPD is asking for the public’s help, identifying the person seen in the attached photos who is sought in connection to a citywide commercial robbery pattern which has been traced to the 50th precinct, the 26th precinct, and the 33rd precinct.
The 50th precinct in The Bronx, covers Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, Riverdale, Fieldston, Spuyten Duyvil and Van Cortlandt Park. The 26th precinct covers the Upper West Side of Manhattan, including Morningside Heights, Manhattanville, Columbia University, Riverside Park, Morningside Park, and the General Grant National Memorial.
The 33rd precinct covers Washington Heights in northern Manhattan, which encompasses the three primary commercial strips of Broadway, Amsterdam Avenue and St. Nicholas Avenue.
The first incident occurred in the 50th precinct. On Friday, March 25, at around 6.17 p.m., at a business located at 5585 Broadway, a man entered the business and demanded money from a 19-year-old female employee. The individual opened his jacket, displaying a gun, and then proceeded to grab approximately $1,764 from the cash register before fleeing in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Incident 2 occurred in the 26th precinct. On Monday, March 28, at around 5.13 p.m., at a business located at 501 West 125th Street, a man entered the business and approached a 30-year-old female employee. He, once again, displayed a gun and demanded cash, stealing approximately $830 from the cash register before fleeing eastbound on West 125th Street. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The third incident took place in the 50th precinct. On Tuesday, March 29, at around 1 p.m., at a business located at 5585 Broadway, a man entered the business and approached a 30-year-old male employee. Once again, he proceeded to display a firearm and demanded money, stealing approximately $444 from the cash register before fleeing southbound on Broadway. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Incident 4 arose in the 33rd precinct. On Wednesday, March 30, at around 7.55 p.m., at a business located at 4149 Broadway, a man entered the business wearing a ski mask and requested to pay a bill on an account. He then reached inside his pocket and displayed a gun to a 33-year-old male employee while demanding money. The individual removed approximately $1,105 before fleeing the location northbound on Broadway. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The fifth incident took place in the 33rd precinct. On Friday, April 1, at around 5.20 p.m., at a business located at 2035 Amsterdam Avenue, a man entered the business and approached a 30-year-old female employee. He displayed a gun and demanded money, stealing around $1,057 from the cash register before fleeing northbound on Amsterdam Avenue. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Incident 6 took place in the 26th precinct. On Wednesday, April 6, at around 2.44 p.m., at a business located at 501 West 125th Street, a man entered the business and approached a 30-year-old female employee (the same employee he had previously approached while armed with a gun in Incident 2, above). He demanded that the employee open the register, while he kept his hands in his pockets. He took around $800 from the cash register before fleeing eastbound on West 125th Street. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The seventh incident occurred in the 50th precinct. As reported, on Thursday, April 7, at approximately 6.25 p.m., at a cell phone store located at 5609 Broadway, a man entered the business and approached a 29-year-old female employee. Once again, he displayed a firearm and demanded money. He took around $1,000 in cash and a cell phone before fleeing in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
