Parkchester: 27-Year-Old Man Dies following Early Morning Shooting

A 27-year-old man has died following an early morning shooting in Parkchester.

 

Police said that on Saturday, Feb. 11, at around 5.01 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot in front of 1556 White Plains Road, located in the 43rd Precinct.

A police spokesperson said, “Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.” The spokesperson added, “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.”

 

Police said there were no immediate arrests, the investigation remains ongoing, and the identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.

 

As reported, police are also looking for a gunman following a non-fatal shooting on Webster Avenue in Bedford Park on Saturday, Feb. 11.
