In efforts to encourage Bronxites to join their local community board ahead of the upcoming deadline on March 1, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson will kick off a Community Board Day of Action across the borough on Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. finishing up in the North Bronx at Mosholu Parkway subway station in Bronx Community District 7.

The Lehman Center for the Performing Arts presents the legendary Andy Montañez in “Toda una Vida Concierto!” on Saturday, March 2, as Montañez celebrates his 60th anniversary. UPDATE Human Leg Found on Elevated 4 Subway Tracks, Bronx Subway Riders Left Stranded & Frustrated
Following the discovery on Saturday of human remains on the elevated subway tracks between two Bronx subway stations serving the 4 line in the Concourse section of the borough, passengers were left feeling exasperated over the holiday weekend while the sole central north-south subway service was temporarily suspended.
Kingsbridge Library Reopens
Kingsbridge Library has reopened following a temporary closure in late January which continued into February and which, according to the New York Public Library press office, was due to repairs to its HVAC unit, which library officials said was causing a lack of heat in the building, located at 291 West 231st Street in Kingsbridge.
