Fordham Manor: Police Appeal for Help Locating Missing 15-Year-Old Girl

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating a 15-year-old girl reporting missing from Fordham Manor. Police said that Khaidley Rodriguez of 2687 Heath Avenue was last seen on June 17, at around 11 p.m., leaving her home. They said she is described as female, is around 5 feet, 5 inches in height, is Black Hispanic, weighs around 120 pounds, and has brown eyes and long brown hair. They said she was last seen wearing a black sweater, black shorts and black/white sneakers. Anyone with information regarding this missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline

Norwood: Two Injured in Motorcycle/Car Collision

A 23-year-old motorcycle driver remains in serious condition and his 23-year-old female passenger was in stable condition after an early morning collision at Jerome Avenue and Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood.   Police say the crash took place at 7:17 a.m. on Monday, June 26, after a 31-year-old man driving a 2003 Toyota attempted to make a U-turn and collided with the motorcycle which was traveling southbound at the time. UPDATE University Heights: 12-Year-Old Boy Reported Missing Safely Located

The NYPD said a 12-year-old boy reported missing from University Heights has been safely located.   Prior to being located, police had said that Ruben Rodriguez, 12, had last been seen on Friday, June 23, at around 7 a.m., leaving his home. They said he was described as male, around 4 feet, 9 inches tall, weighed around 125 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair. Prior to being located, they said he had last been seen wearing black pants and a white shirt.    

New Bronx Research Shows Poor Air Quality Leads to Longer Hospital Stays for Children with Asthma

Bronx Couple Charged with Imprisoning & Endangering Two Girls Aged 3 and 4 Years Old

  Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. NYC Emergency Management Advises New Yorkers to Prepare for Severe Thunderstorm on June 26  

New York City Emergency Management Department (EMS) issued a travel advisory for Monday afternoon, June 26, through Tuesday, June 27. EMS officials said according to the National Weather Service, New York City may experience scattered showers with the potential for severe thunderstorms starting late afternoon through the evening.   They said the severe thunderstorms may affect the evening’s commute, with rain expected to continue into Tuesday morning. Elections 2023: CFB Approves Final “Matching Funds” Payments to City Council Candidates

  The NYC Campaign Finance Board (CFB) approved, on June 23, public matching funds payments totaling $1,316,540 in the final round of payment opportunities for 2023 City Council primaries.
