Hundreds of Bronx residents joined various elected officials on Sunday, Oct. 8, for a vigil for Israel at Bell Tower Monument on West 239th Street in Fieldston, organized by Bronx Jewish clergy members, to mourn and pray for the thousands killed [including babies who were beheaded], raped, or captured on Saturday, Oct. 7, in a surprise terrorist attack in southern Israel near the Gaza strip by the Palestinian Hamas military group.
Bronx Family Suffers 2nd Tragedy in Nine Months
For the second time in nine months, a Bronx family were once again planning a funeral after a one-year-old baby girl died after she was removed by emergency services, along with her parents, from the family’s car in Syracuse, New York, having been found unresponsive, possibly from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Trinitarios Gang Member Convicted of Murdering Confidential Informant
Federal prosecutors said a Trinitarios gang member was convicted on Thursday, Oct. 12, of murdering a confidential informant. Damian Williams, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, made the announcement last week, saying William Jones, a/k/a “Principe,” was convicted by a jury of racketeering conspiracy, murder in aid of racketeering, and firearms offenses for his role in the murder of Frederick Delacruz on December 28, 2019.

The event kicked off at the steps of Bronx Borough Hall at 161st Street and the Grand Concourse in the Concourse section of the borough at 9.30 a.m. under heavy rain.
