Bronx Arts Ensemble pianist Pablo Zinger will make two free appearances performing from his Great Mexican Songbook featuring his piano as well as singers as follows:

 Wave Hill, a Bronx oasis at 675 W. 252nd St. in Riverdale, offers Family Art Projects: Local Birdies for Wave Hill House, to make bird drawings, Nov. 10 and 11; and Cornhusk Dolls, to  hear Native American tales, then make cornhusk dolls, Nov. 17 and 18; both in the WH House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Also scheduled are Dalí Quartet Concert, performing Latin American, classical and romantic music (tickets: $28/includes grounds admission/WH members 10% discount; $12/ages 8 to 18), Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. in the WH House (info: ext. 251); and Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, featuring traditional music from cultures across the American northeast, southwest and Great Plains, Nov. 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the WH House, Armor Hall. Through our Breaking Bronx blog, we focus on news and information for those neighborhoods, but aim to cover as much Bronx-related news as possible. Founded in 1988 by Mosholu Preservation Corporation, a not-for-profit affiliate of Montefiore Medical Center, the Norwood News began as a monthly and grew to a bi-weekly in 1994. In September 2003 the paper expanded to cover University Heights and now covers all the neighborhoods of Community District 7. The Norwood News exists to foster communication among citizens and organizations and to be a tool for neighborhood development efforts.
