Out & About: Celia Cruz Music Tribute

Lehman College’s Center for the Performing Arts, 250 Bedford Pk. Blvd. W., presents Celia Cruz, the Musical, featuring singer, dancers, actors and orchestra, performing salsa, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 to $65; $100/VIP. The New York City Parks Department presents “Measure for Measure” at the Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center at 3225 Reservoir Oval East on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. RSVP is required by calling (718) 543-8672.

Events
This fall, seasoned guides and staff experts lead walks in Wave Hill’s fall gardens, offering an intimate look at garden design, fall foliage, birding and an outdoor art installation. The Avian Adventures Family Walk takes place Nov. 9 from 1 to 2 p.m. and the Garden Walk: Birds and the Winter Garden is set for Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Woodlawn Conservancy holds free Trolley Tour, Nov. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery to visit historic gravesites including Sir Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Celia Cruz and more. For more information, visit www. WoodlawnTours.org.

Wave Hill, a Bronx oasis at 675 W. 252nd St. in Riverdale, offers Family Art Projects: Painting to Migratory Bird Songs, to use natural materials as a paintbrush while listening to the music of migratory birds, Nov. 9 and 10; and Three Sisters Companion Planting, to sample crafts that use corn husks, squash and beans, Nov. 16 and 17; both in the WH House 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Also scheduled are Falconry Presentation: Skyhunters in Flight, to see live hawks, falcons and owls perform and live raptors from around the world, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. on the grounds; and Concert: The Alonso Brothers, Cuban brothers/pianists perform featuring a variety of Latin music, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. in the WH House (tickets: $28/adults includes admission to the grounds; WH members save 10%; $12/ages 8 to 18 (info: ext. 251).
