On Halloween, a Stabbing at Norwood D Train Station

Three men are wanted for stabbing a teen on Halloween in an incident that ended at the Norwood/East 205th Street subway station.

Police said the incident happened at around 9:30pm when the three suspects approached the victim as he was heading to the station. A chase ensued, with the victim entering the station’s East 205th Street/Bainbridge Avenue entrance. The victim was stabbed multiple times in the stomach and upper right arm. They then took off on foot. The victim was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The three men were captured on surveillance footage by the MTA. The first suspect is described as black, around 20 years old and last seen wearing a black hooded sweater under a dark green jacket, dark pants, and seen holding a knife on his right arm.

The second suspect is described as black, around 20 years old and last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweater and black pants.

The third suspect is described as black, also around 20 years old and last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and black pants.

    Hi Dave, I used to get off at the Bedford Park station. When I went to night school I would fall asleep and pass my station. The transit cop (we had those then, on every car) would come and hit me on the knee to wake up. Somehow, I was never afraid to sleep on the train. That was in the 70’s. Times have changed!
