The NYPD is appealing to the public for help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on a moving subway in the Olinville section of The Bronx.

Police said that on Monday, Aug. 28, at around 4.20 p.m., a 14-year-old male victim was on a southbound 2 train when he was approached by another person who “asked” him for money, while simultaneously displaying a gun. They said the victim complied and gave the assailant around $7, before fleeing to safety at the 219th Street station. They said the victim didn’t sustain any injuries as a result of the incident and the assailant remained on the southbound 2 train.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/ or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
