An off-duty cop was arrested in The Bronx on Monday on a DUI charge, police said.
Police said that on Monday, Feb. 20, at around 8.46 a.m. Kenneth McNair, 43, an NYPD lieutenant assigned to Transit District 4, was arrested and charged in the 48th Precinct, which covers the neighborhoods of Belmont, East Tremont, and West Farms. It also covers Fordham University’s Bronx campus, Arthur Avenue, the Cross Bronx Expressway and Crotona Park.
Transit District 4 covers Union Square Subway Station, 14th Street/Union Square West in Manhattan.
McNair, who became a police officer in 2005, was charged with driving while his ability was impaired by alcohol.
A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
