The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is advising motorists of a daytime closure of the entrance ramp from southbound Sheridan Boulevard to the southbound Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95) in the Bronx, on or about Saturday, Oct. 23 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Inclement weather could cause this closure to be rescheduled.
Detour signs and Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be in place during this closure to direct traffic to the entrance ramp to southbound Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95), located just before Rosedale Avenue. Southbound Bronx River Parkway traffic wanting to connect to southbound I-95 should use Exit 4 for the Cross Bronx Expressway and follow the detour signs.
This closure is needed to construct a temporary ramp from southbound Sheridan Boulevard to southbound Cross Bronx Expressway as part of the NYSDOT’s project to reconstruct the entrance ramp from northbound Sheridan Boulevard to southbound Cross Bronx Expressway.
