Officials from NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, located in Morris Park, and NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx, located in Norwood, hosted the 3rd Annual Regional Sexual Assault Conference in The Bronx on Oct. 18.
Medical professionals joined experts in the field of sexual trauma to discuss the medical, legal, and social needs of those suffering from sexual assault.
They also discussed sex trafficking, mental health, and sexual violence, and the importance of consent in the forensic evidence collection process.
