The New York Lottery announced on Oct. 23 that multiple top-prize winning tickets were sold for the Oct 22 Take 5 midday drawing. They said the tickets were sold at Prayosha Pharmacy Corp, located at 54 East 183rd Street in the Fordham Heights section of The Bronx, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $5,856, and at Brentwood Pharmacy located at 761 Suffolk Avenue in Brentwood, which sold two prize-winning tickets worth $5,856 each.
Lottery officials also said that one top-prize winning ticket was also sold for the Oct 22 Take 5 evening drawing. They said the ticket was sold at Los Castillos Mini Market Corp, located at 1601 University Avenue in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx, and the prize-winning ticket was worth $32,014.50.
As reported, a residential fire which broke out that evening, Oct. 22, at 1978 University Avenue in Morris Heights resulted in no injuries, FDNY officials said.
Lottery officials said the TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39 and the drawing is televised twice daily at 2.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. They added that a lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
According to New York Lottery officials, the lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable one, contributing $3.7 billion in fiscal year 2022-2023 to help support education in New York State.
